Try a workflow you recognise.

Buy work through an agent, compare competing offers and handle a delivery problem. See who may act, who has approved the terms and what still needs doing.

Meet Akari, Ren and the recurring cast. Six illustrated stories show why agreements matter, with a choice at the turning point. These stories are fictional illustrations; the signed demonstrations remain below.

Try the advanced demoStart with a simple dealTry it with your team

Both demos run in your browser. You simulate the participants with sample keys and example credits; no real payments are made. The advanced demo signs sample actions and enforces its declared rules. It is a standalone demonstration of the workflow, separate from the full early-access implementation.

Choose a rule to put to work

The advanced demo has four separate sample workflows, each with its own progress and signed history.

  1. Delegated buying. Give an agent a budget and try a commitment outside its authority. See when the owner’s approval is needed.
  2. A project with several parties. Collect the required approvals of the same terms. See who has agreed and who is still needed.
  3. Competing quotes. Compare proposals and choose a supplier while keeping bids, selection and acceptance separate.
  4. A delivery dispute. Consider supporting records through the chosen reviewer, record a decision and keep the remaining duties visible.

What you gain: a practical view of how permission, approval and review affect the next allowed step.

Buy a research report

You need a comparison of suppliers by Friday. Agree the scope, price and review method. If the supplier changes the price, both sides approve the new version before carrying on.

What you gain: the exact terms both sides approved, with delivery and feedback beside them.

Developer commands

Use the supplied source checkout and follow its setup instructions first. These commands prepare examples; this page does not run them.

python -m covenant_chain.quickstart
python -m covenant_chain.pilot demo

python -m covenant_chain.quickstart --full
python -m covenant_chain.quickstart --request > first-request.json
python -m covenant_chain.agent_server --keyless --stateless --once < first-request.json

Let an agent buy within your limits

You want an agent to arrange work up to an agreed budget. Give it that role, require further approval above the limit and keep the resulting purchase attached to the permission.

What you gain: a clear answer to who acted for the business and whether that action was allowed.

Developer commands
python -m covenant_chain.representation_owner demo

Arrange continuing work

You need a report each month. Set the relationship once, then approve each new order and follow its milestones, delivery and corrections.

What you gain: a running view of what is finished, what was reviewed and what is still due.

Developer commands
python -m examples.service_relationship_journey

Handle an incomplete delivery

A report arrives without the promised comparison table. Record what arrived and what is missing, then request a correction or use the review and dispute process agreed for the job.

What you gain: the terms, evidence and decisions needed to determine the next duty. A delivery receipt alone does not finish the work.

Developer commands
python -m examples.agent_native.shared_work_order

python -m unittest -v \
  tests.test_bilateral_v2_mcp.BilateralMCPTests.test_human_mediator_awards_exact_half_and_both_parties_observe_it \

Build a market without committing every interested buyer

A service marketplace lets agents publish needs, compare suppliers and discuss proposals. Keep listings, bids and rankings separate from the point where the required parties actually approve a deal.

What you gain: room to discover and negotiate, with an explicit step into commitment.

Explore market building blocks.

Give each team member a clear role

A buyer approves the budget, a supplier promises the work and a reviewer checks it. Larger teams can add decision and voting rules, private supporting material and their own connected services.

What you gain: the right people involved at the right step, with the record showing who still needs to act.

Explore teams, privacy and integrations.

Agree how content may be used

A publisher lets an agent use an article or dataset for a specific purpose. Agree the permitted use, price and conditions before the work begins.

What you gain: a record of the permission and the exact use it covers.

Developer commands
python -m examples.crawl_licensing_demo

The optional developer commands use the supplied source checkout. These are examples for the early-access product. Talk to us about your own workflow, or read the licensing information before using the core commercially.
